SPATIAL in the Western Balkans
 
Kadaster supports colleagues in the Western Balkan region to strengthen their professional access to information about land through the SPATIAL project. The 8 agencies from North Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia–Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania shared knowledge and experiences in more than 20 workshops.

Successful FIG Working Week in Hanoi
 
This year’s FIG Working Week was hosted by the Vietnamese Association of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing. Kadaster was well represented and fully engaged during this week about the latest developments in surveying, mapping and cadastre. FIG Working Week 2020 will be in Amsterdam. We look forward to welcome you there.

Optimising cadastral data collection in Benin
 
L’Agence du Domaine et du Foncier (Benin) started a pilot in March 2019. In partnership with Kadaster they are testing new methodologies for optimising the process of cadastral data collection. Aim is to reach cadastral coverage of the whole country within 2 years. An ambitious project in which inclusiveness will be key.

Study visit to Kadaster by Brazilian cadastral authorities
 
In April Kadaster was visited by Experts from the Brazilian city of Campinas and the Secretaria de Receita Federal. Purpose of the study visit was preparation for the SINTER pilot. A new integrated cadastral system that will be implemented in the Brazilian cities of Campinas, Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza.

Post-disaster ‘mapathon’ for Mozambique
 
Hurricane Idai destroyed big parts of The Mozambician infrastructure in March 2019. Reliable maps are essential in providing effective aid. A number of Kadaster employees responded to the International Red Cross ‘Missing Maps’ appeal and used their free time to update maps of the affected areas.
